KOREC are an innovative technology company who lead the way in their industry with mapping, 3D laser scanners and numerous other solutions for the geospatial industry.
The Fuse were initially brought on board to support their in-house marketing team with creative material for eshots, exhibition material and product literature. However, after a rather tricky relationship with their web partners they asked us to also take on board the challenge of their very large and very complex website. Of course, we said “we’d be delighted!”
The project commenced with an in-depth research project, which involved lots of people from various departments, gathering what everyone within the company needed from the website. We also discussed and agreed what the clients and potential clients needed and took all of this on board before firstly creating a sitemap, then detailed visuals showing functionality as well as design of each section.
On approval we built the site with the use of an XL spreadsheet to keep tabs on all the pages and content received, needed, changed etc!
This large and involved site could have been a nightmare, but it was actually great fun, the team at KOREC were such lovely guys to work with – it’s a project we all felt very proud of when we launched it.
The site is built in a way that the marketing team can now be self-sufficient in keeping it up to date; of course, we are only an email or phone call away if they need help.
